Mrs Addie Messenger and Mrs W F Sicher visited Fosterburg Sunday. Messenger dragged after buggy when horse frightened. both women escaped serious harm. 1896-17 items note weddings, trips, rail excursions, local business ads, and notes on Roosevelt and McKinley era. 1907 postmaster aide, 1910 11 scenes with B Ward visit, Joy in Patoka, 1913 14 bank opening, and cattle sale reports. Prominent locals include Emanuel Cox, Edna Leininger, T B Walker, R Hawkins, Wasem, Lawson, Porter, Pratt, Miss Winnie Hatch.

Woman's Missionary Society meets and officers elected

The Woman's Missionary Society gathered at Mrs Frank Ballance's home on Thursday afternoon. Officers elected for the ensuing year include President Wilma Diveley Vice President Ida Anderson Secretary Teresa Griffin Treasurer Ellen Simcox Supt of Study Mrs F M McKinney Supt of publicity Leia Ballance Grace Chance Local work Lora Alton and supplies Anabelle Wilson.

Silver Tea Hosted by Jennings Family

Mrs. Donna Jennings hosted a silver tea on December 13 with Miss Anna Belcher leading the devotion and Miss Helen Troyer presiding over the business meeting. Mrs. Winnie Spurgeon and Miss Dorothy Ververs provided entertainment and refreshments followed by Christmas gift exchanges. Tea adjourned to meet Mrs. Elsie Gray in January.
