A seven foot eight inch winged eagle was shot on the E T Tomlin farm on Thanksgiving Day by Earl O Neil son of Ed O Neil. The carcass weighed 13 pounds and the shooter resides near Bolivia in the Patoka vicinity.

Rum Runner Fined as Sheriff Seizes Bottled Cargo

George Nattier of Patoka Hardware and Furniture Co traveled to Davenport Iowa after a police notice. He recovered about half the stolen goods from their store after letters identified items by price tags from Quincy Stove and Range Co. Other firms also identified items. thieves escaped with the rest.
