Zion Sunday School Picnic Appeals Attendees

Rev W D Humphrey will lead 11 oclock Sunday worship with the Sacrament observed. Last quarterly meeting for the conference year set for Aug 12 business session at Patoka M E Church South. She enjoyed the World's Fair and noted many historic stops including the San Juan Capistrano Mission.

Mrs. Leo Freyer Dies After Brief Illness

Marie Louise Kramer Freyer, born July 10, 1878 in Rosengarten Germany, died after a three day illness. She married Delmar Leo Freyer in 1911 and lived on a Patoka area farm before moving to Vernon. Survived by her husband, one stepdaughter, three brothers and many nieces and friends.

Barn Fire Destroys Willie Lowe Farm Structure

A barn on the Willie Lowe farm in Arnled Chapel was burned early Monday during an electrical storm. The blaze destroyed the barn along with alfalfa hay corn oats and a car, with losses estimated around 3500 dollars.
