Train Depot to Gain City Help
Arcadia Chamber of Commerce backs a push to raise about 10,000 to move the Santa Anita Train Depot and preserve it as a state historic monument. The Arcadia Historical Society lobbied for legal possession and registration, with state funds not yet forthcoming. The effort seeks private and public support, with the Recreation Department coordinating activities and a plan to relocate the depot to the Arcadia County Arboretum if funded.
