Two Pasadena students, Mies shall Todd Allen and W David Waldvogel, have begun dental studies at the School of Dentistry in San Francisco. Both attended Brigham Young University prior to moving to California. Waldvogel is married to Nancy L. Neilson of Pasadena.
In Southern California karting draws young and old to J B Kart Raceway in Azusa every fourth Sunday and on weekends. Cars reach about 55 mph on straightaways with 41.15 seconds for a half mile. Jet karts exist but are rare due to cost and danger. Safety gear and hay bales guard racers as the sport grows nationwide with 100000 karts and many clubs.
