The Manitoba Hydro Electric Board filed April 25 1968 for a license to divert Churchill River water into the Nelson River and store water on Rat River Southern Indian Lake and Granville Lake. Planned dams and channels would raise Southern Indian Lake about 35 feet storage about 14 000 000 acre feet. flooding land near Rat River Southern Indian Lake and Granville Lake. Objections due by July 8 1968 to Director Water Control and Conservation Branch Winnipeg.
