Further Progress On Organization For Town Administration
A special Town Council committee on town administration and procedures reports progress at the latest meeting. Chairman Dr. Stu Carey says in a week or two the details of organization including job descriptions salaries and deployment of ancillary staff will be studied and finalized. The council earlier accepted in principle a general organizational chart for municipal departments and chain of command. Last week the council ordered a separate work area for Welfare and Fire Chiefs with a reception and stenographic office on the second floor of the town office building. These rooms will reuse spaces already in the remodeled building now used chiefly for storage. An interview room will be set aside for privacy during welfare applicant interviews.
