The Pas and nearby towns report eleven newborns with births listed from June 6 to June 11. Families include Moore Nelson House Nichols Sinclair Flett Ducharme Watts Patchinose Benson Constant and Grespins with both parents named.
A community list of events at Christ Church Parish Hall United Church and related groups. Rummage sales bake sales teas fairs and Christmas events are scheduled from June through December with times and locations noted for each date.
Mrs. E. H. Rossington hosted a trousseau tea at home on May 28 1972 for her daughter Louise a June bride elect. Guests included the bride’s grandmother Mrs. J. W. Rossington and great aunt Mrs. R. Rossington who poured tea.
The Pas air cadets of Squadron 303 wrapped up the 71/72 season with a grand inspection at the government garage in Winnipeg area, a marchpast, and a banquet hosted by the Royal Purple. Lt Col Found praised the cadets as Captain Jack and Mr. B O'Neil noted the program and announced a new glider ownership alongside 302 Glen Flon squadron. An air cadet glider pilot training program will start this fall. Trophies and pins were awarded for top cadet, rookie of the year, marksmanship, best dress, and perfect attendance. Eight cadets will travel abroad this summer with two cadets spending two weeks in Bagotville and seven in Penhold, all expenses paid.
Six Ladies of the Order of Royal Purple traveled to Dauphin by car on May 28 for a Tea and display of gifts from lodges coast to coast during Myrna Gray’s year as Past Supreme Honored Royal Lady. Manitoba lodges attended, with the next meeting set for June 15 at Lady Framingham’s summer home, Elks Hall at 6:30 p.m. for a pot luck supper before summer recess.
