Hospital patients enjoy charity entertainment from local sponsors
On August 9 and 10 patients at St. Anthony's Hospital and St. Paul's Residence were entertained by performers sponsored by the Kinsmen, Wescana Hotels, and the Laverendrye Motel. Gordon Anderson, Bert Todd, Harry Crowder, and Chuck Adams provided music, with the Merl Hagard sound from Butch Florey. The shows spanned the maternity, third, and kiddies wards, the latter delivering the most joy amid cries and laughter as instruments held the children spellbound.
