Wescana Inn opens in The Pas with ribbon-cutting
Derek Chartier aided by his mother cuts the ribbon to inaugurate Wescana Inn in The Pas. Mayor Kennedy and local figures attend as Chartier outlines a second phase with dining room and lounge. New appointments include Orson Sharpe to GM, Gary Fournier as area supervisor, Ron Crossley and Ken Heard assigned to management roles. Approximately 150 guests tour the 41-room motel with modern amenities.
