The Pas Town Council appoints a weed inspector late in the season and hires four students under a local program to mow boulevards and town properties. The inspector may enter private properties, levy cleanup costs on taxes, and past attempts to establish weed control areas are cited as still relevant to current actions.
The Highway Traffic and Motor Transport Board approved a 5 mph increase to 65 mph on the No 10 Highway between Swan River and Crahberry Portage after Manitoba Chambers of Commerce argued northern travel burdens and good road conditions.
