Paragonah residents Mr. and Mrs. Wm. P. Barton visited Salt Lake City to see relatives in Ware. Mr. and Mrs. Cal Smith also spent the weekend in Salt Lake. A new baby was born to Mr. and Mrs. Homer Kerns, who now reside in California, and Max Service Station was operated before they left. A wedding reception honored Mr. and Mrs. Don Billins and gifts were many and useful. Mrs. Mable Robinson underwent appendicitis surgery in Salt Lake and was reported recovering. The Mutual Improvement Association of the Paragonah Ward held an evening social with dancing and refreshments on September 17. Regular M. I. A. meetings began Tuesday, September 23. Older People Of County Guests At Cedar City Celebration
Iron County residents over 65 were invited to an afternoon and evening event in Cedar City hosted by the Cedar City Warden Old Folks Committee and the County Centennial Commission. Attendees met at the Parks Theatre at 4 pm for music and pictures by the Sons of Utah Pioneer Organization, then moved to the Ward Church banquet hall for a turkey dinner and old time dancing.
