Potato Digging To End Within Ten Days If Weather Holds
Potato digging has dominated the scene for two weeks with deer hunting near completion. Good yields are reported with many No 1 potatoes, though dry hot weather affected some patches. An acre at A Halterman’s farm produced over 400 bushels, Day Farms expects up to 300 bags per acre in some plots, and J B Dalton began digging today with smooth, small potatoes.
