Parowan High School students will assume city government roles for 15 hours on Halloween. Student body president Tom Dobrusky serves as mayor, Piggy Mitchell as recorder and treasurer, David Orton as marshal with Tebbs Adams Scotty Haycock and Vincent Campbell as deputies. Shirley Robinson judges, while Mary Etta Stubbs Maxine Rasmussen Rebecca Wilkinson Helen Hateh Mary Ann Rowley Fred Bergstrom Marrell Hallerman and Ann Boardman sit on the council. Peace officers will patrol until the Halloween dance ends.

Friends and associates from many parts of Utah attended the funeral for James C Robinson, Parowan livestock man and civic leader who died Wednesday in a Salt Lake City hospital. The service in the Third Ward Chapel featured organ music by Alfred Durham, remarks by Dr. F. B. Parkinson and Arthur Joseph, with special musical numbers including Schubert's Serenade and Calvary. MIA Road Show Set For Parowan Stake Wards Tuesday
A patriotic MIA road show will be staged in all Parowan Stake wards Tuesday night. Each ward presents one number as unity is showcased across the stake. Stake MIA officers and board members sponsor the event with concurrent meetings in the Recreation hall at 7 15 pm. Summit meets Enoch and Paragon meets alone at 7 15 pm. Opening exercises begin at 7 40 pm. All Mutual members are invited.

Editors Attend Yearbook School At Springville
Puro Wan High School representatives attended the ninth annual yearbook school by Harrison Conover of Art City Publishing Co. in Springville Utah on Monday October 26. Zeus Mortensen and Hettie Anne Jones represented the area with about 175 students from Utah Idaho Nevada and Wyoming learning steps of yearbook production by letterpress methods using engraved plates. The day began with 9:30 registration at Springville Memorial Hall followed by a noon to 2 pm dinner and open house of yearbooks and a printing exhibit. Instruction and an open forum ran 2 to 3:30 pm marking the annual event aimed at aiding students in producing a better school annual.
