Johnathon David Prothero born September 6 1877 in Paragonah son of Jonathan and Elizabeth Prothero lived in Paragonah all his life. He died at home after months of illness with family at his bedside. He married Amy Barton on March 1 and raised six children. He worked as a farmer and in road construction and supervision. Funeral arrangements pending arrival of daughters in California.

Leonard Weston Paice 32 a Beaver civic and church leader died in a truck crash 15 miles west of Beaver while returning from Milford. Investigators say a stray bull crossed the road causing loss of control and the vehicle to overturn pinning Paice in the cab. He leaves a widow Ruth Tillman three sons Merritt Ruth Nev Weston Paul and a daughter Vanna, plus his mother Mrs. Orton and six grandchildren. Funeral held Saturday at Beaver First Ward Chapel.

James C Robinson Jr a prominent Southern Utah banker and sheep breeder died early Wednesday at Salt Lake General Hospital after two months critical illness and years of poor health leukemia and complications cited. He served as vice president of the Bank of Southern Utah on Iron County Education Board and led Utah Wool Growers Association grazing board member. Born 1874 in Parowan he married Ella Clark and after her death married Mettie Mickelson. He was a noted cattle and sheep breeder and a leading figure in farming and livestock.

Darrell McBride 17 of Richfield died after a hunting mishap near Fish Lake during the deer season. A rifle discharged and击 struck his thigh, causing internal hemorrhage. He was a senior at Midfield Nich School and is survived by parents Reuben and unnamed mother, sisters Phyllis and Dyanne, and brother LaMar. Funeral services planned in Richfield.

Funeral services for Mabel M Adams Warren lifelong Parowan resident were held Saturday at 2 pm in the Parowan Third Ward LDS Chapel. She died Monday at her son in law and daughter’s home after a heart condition and complications. Survived by seven of ten children, twenty grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and four sisters. Burial in Parowan City Cemetery.
