Canvassers report Parowan Paragonah and Summit have subscribed liberally to Liberty Bonds and expect full allotment by week’s end.
Cedar City notes report a Gol Folks ancoat day at Ward Hall with a program including Addie welcome, Matheson violin, readings, vocal duets, and a dinner around 4 pm. Evening dancing to follow. invitation extended to married people and others over 25. Republicans nominate a full ticket for the coming election with specific offices listed. Also notes a Tabernacle gathering with lectures, a local music program, bereavement notices, Cherry Bond sale progress, and various town movements and visits.
The Day Burnum party returned from Salt Lake City tired after three days on the road. John jokes the journey will take more than a tous le road to wipe the smile from faces. Hackett of Deer Lodge Nevada visits with Mr and Mrs Wow Hai. Children and grandchildren of Jan Barnum come from Mesquite Nevada for a short stay. Janet Bracken and Hazel Hall head to Central for a brief visit to Gardner in Enterprise. District teachers travel to St George for a meeting. The Pace home in Enterprise nears completion. Democrats nominate a local ticket for November 6 with Maver Geof Mitchell as candidate for Mayor, plus councilmen, treasurer, and recorder.
