Mrs Max Hendrickson former Legion Auxiliary president received an invitation from Mrs Thelma Wooley Swanner of Las Vegas to the local Post Auxiliary members. Funeral services for Lesley Adame 2 prominent rancher and farmer of Enterprise and former Parowan resident were held in the Enterprise Ward Chapel Tuesday. He died at 3 a.m. Saturday in Iron County Hospital of pneumonia from a chronic heart ailment after years of ill health. Born March 22, 1896 in Parowan, he married Zenetta Windsor October 25, 1914. Local Band Students Attend Paroway High Exhibition
Members of the Paroway High School Band joined 1260 students for a two session exhibition at the University of Utah on Saturday. Chaperoned by Alma Topham E Nay Lyman and Thurman Lyman they stayed in dormitories and performed in group formations during the Utah game. The group traveled from the capital on Friday by school bus and returned Sunday evening after a breakfast in American Fork and a hike to Timpanogas Cave.

Wool Growers name Rowley stray puller and weigh fees

State Aeronautics Inspector Harlon Bement of Salt Lake City visited Parowan briefly on Monday with his grandmother Mrs Emma Webb. He was on a routine flight to inspect airports in Southern Utah and landed in Parowan in his Beechcraft Bonanza. Bement is remembered by Parowan and Paragonah residents as the son of Herman and Laurel Wedd Bement who lived in the area for some time. His mother died when he was one and a half, and he was cared for by his grandmother.

Joseph L Jayi Wiiter, son of Lee Winter of Parowan, listed among five Iron County men called for pre induction physicals on Wednesday. About 1400 Iron County men serve on the heavy cruiser USS Helena on its third Korean War tour, including Richard Stubbs seaman USN of Box 246 Provo Itah.
