A group from Parowan escaped serious injury when their Kaiser sedan struck a cow on Highway 91 near Buckhorn Flat just after 8 50 p m. They were en route to Pangulteh. Driver Clarence Stubbs and occupants Mrs Chester Stubbs Ligia Walterman and Howard Stubbs aided by a wrecker moved the wreck to a Cedar City garage.

Timber Harvest For Stake Hall Construction Near Midway
Bulk timber from Lane Valley near Midway is being removed for the Stakes Third Ward Recreation Hall. Mr and Mrs Murray Raw son and four children from Richfred Idaho made a surprise visit to Parowan last week to visit Anna Gurr and family. The group joined the Gurrs for a pinenut hunt near Pioche Nevada and potato picking at the Gurr farms followed by a picnic. Twenty six Gurrs gathered at Grayson and Ya’s farm on Sunday for Grayson’s birthday with games cake and ice cream. Gordon Whitney and family moved into a new home on 1st North Street just west of the Blanch Whitney residence. A Halterman and son Lyle traveled to Salt Lake City with a load of shf alfa seed.
