The Parowan Literary Cup held its first meeting of the season at Mrs. Bertrude Mitchells home with Maude Parcells and Mrs. Mitchell hosting. Chub President Iona Topham led a fifteen member gathering as they revised the club constitution and elected a parliamentarian. The quorum requirement was raised from five to eleven. Fifty Parowan High School band members and five chaperones will ride a school bus to Salt Lake City after a benefit dance Monday. They will join 54 bands at a university marching festival, each allotted six minutes to perform. A committee will pick one band for intermission at the Utah and Denver game. Ronald Gregory oversees festival details. band mothers help fund travel with no individual expenses.
