Parowan High School held a centennial themed review attracting a large crowd. Jean Hendrickson led about 60 students in old time dances with garb like basques and petticoats while Mrs. Mary Lyman and Mrs. Head assisted, featuring square dances, line dances, and various couple dances including Hot Time in the Town Tonight and Red River Valley.

Centennial Art Exhibition Opens June 2 at Utah Fair Grounds
The ftah Centennial Art Exhibition is set to open June 2 to 11, 1947, at the Utah Fair Grounds Home Arts Department. Salt Lake City hosts the event with Iron County in district one along with Millard Kane Bear Garfield Iron Pluto and Wash. Exhibits must reach Salt Lake by May 31 for display June 2 to June 20.
