John Godard, the only American to traverse the 200 mile river, will narrate in person. Tickets available at the Parowan Third Ward Church door. funds raised will aid the new recreation hall. Parowan Kindergarten Opens Monday in Room 16
Parowan kindergarten starts Monday in Room 16 of the Elementary School building. Mrs Fae Henson, instructor, announces all children who will be eligible for the September start may enroll for the six week course. Eligible children include those six by Oct 1954. Paul Dalton Named Head Pharmacist in Tennessee Society
James Paul Dalton of Patowan is named provident head pharmacist of the Tennessee Pharmacists Society, following confirmation by his parents. He leads at the Whayer Veterans Hospital in Nashville, served as an Air Force captain in World War I, and earned a pharmacy degree from the University of Idaho. He and his wife Dorothy Gibbs appeared on a national TV program and earned prizes including an air trip to New York City with accommodations.

A Parowan youth, about Ali years old, was placed in custody of his parents while awaiting a District Juvenile Judge hearing on forgery charges. He allegedly confessed to a month long check forging spree, with at least three checks totaling 166 dollars cleared locally. A deputy sheriff seized two forged checks from Harvey Adams and traced them to Dairy Breeze Cedar City and Thornton Drug Cedar City. The case involves forged endorsements and fictitious names, with the hearing expected early next week.
