Graveside Services Held For Parowan Babies
Graveside services were held in Parowan Cemetery for infant Karen Lee Sattley daughter of Billie and Anne Hult Sattley. The service included opening prayer by Evans brief remarks by Howard Joseph and grave dedication by Jom Stock of Cedar City. The death followed lung injuries from shortly before birth. Survivors include parents two sisters grandparents and great grandparents. Similar rites were held for LaVon Hulet two day old daughter of Claude A and Dar tha Jones Hulet with services led by Arnold O Gurr and a sermon by Gaylord Whitney. The baby born by cesarean section died at 2 p.m. Saturday from toxin absorption. Parowan relatives Joseph Sones Kanab are listed as grandparents.

Parowan Elders Appeal for Winter Clothing for Indians
Elder Kendall Gurr, district president of the Grand Canyon Mission, asks local residents to donate usable clothing for Southwest Indian Mission tribes in Arizona and New Mexico. Young boy recovering after tractor accident
Kenneth Holm, 15, son of Mr and Mrs Frei Holm of Prove, is convalescing at his grandmother Susie Mickelson home in Parowan after a tractor accident north of Alma Stubbs. He suffered a triple pelvis fracture a hip fracture and other injuries. After two weeks in Iron County Hospital he is now mobile in a wheelchair and hopes to regain limited leg use in about two weeks.
