Adams Sentenced to State Penitentiary for 40 Years
District Judge Will L. Hoyt sentenced Lowell FR Adams to a term of 40 years in the state penitentiary after a guilty plea to breaking into Parowan Mercantile Co. on December 31, 1938. Adams appeared without counsel, pleaded guilty, and requested immediate sentencing, which was deferred until 10 this morning. Sheriff and deputy left for Salt Lake City with the defendant. Other calendar items covered civil judgments, foreclosures, decrees and a minor custody case, with several cases dismissed or continued.

Funeral Services Held For Respected Woman
