Chester L Benson son of Mr and Mrs Roy Benson received his discharge after almost four years in the Army, with service in Southern California and the Philippine Islands. Gerald M Mitchell released at Fort Douglas January 16 after 13 months in Burma and China with the 124th Cavalry, now visiting family in Parowan before returning to Salt Lake City. Victor R Matheson released January 18 at Fort Douglas after 22 months in New Guinea, Leyte, and Luzon as a motor sergeant, former Parowan High student. Clark A Lamoreaux discharged January 18 at Fort Douglas after five months in the Philippines as a truck driver. Lewis Dalton, Navy, discharged after a year, plans to study barbering in Salt Lake City. S M Clark discharged yesterday in Salt Lake City after 22 months with time in New Guinea and the Philippines. His wife Kathleen and two sons reside here.
