The club will meet at Mrs Arch Benson s home this week to hear Shakespeare s Hamlet as part of an advanced BYU extension course.
Today 102 children at Parowan elementary school have good teeth. The contest records show room ratings with percentages and teachers names. The event promotes bone health through diet, chewing exercises, dental care, and cleanliness as of March 1st.

Elder Mario S. Topham returned from the Mexican Mission of the L D S Church and spoke at a conjoint meeting of both wards on Sunday afternoon. He shared mission experiences and ended with a testimony in Spanish. Sunday evening a second meeting in the tabernacle featured missionaries from Beaver stake.

The Bayles Family Genealogical Society held its annual business meeting and reunion at Mary L. Orton’s home Tuesday evening. Many out of town and local members attended and conducted necessary business, ending with an enjoyable gathering.
Wool grower James C Robinson attended a convention and sold his clips plus three or four more at three cents per pound to Draper and Company of Boston. Other consignments came from Stubbs Brothers Parowan Robinson Brothers and K Doyle Robinson of Paragenah.
Ward Fortune, jailed here, marries Miss Margaret Ruth Hunter of Cedar City. The union releases him and likely leads to dismissal of the case since the bride, the prosecuting witness, now refuses to testify against Fortune.
The American Legion Post No. 20 elected officers for the coming year. Durham Morris is Post Commander with Harrell Dalton as Vice Commander and W. Clair Rowley as Adjutant. N. E. Brown becomes Treasurer and Albert Adams serves as Chaplain with Bain Matheson as Sergeant at Arms. A membership contest ends February 11 with the losing side to host a banquet for the winners. The unit considers several projects including a race track and a dance hall, but no steps are yet taken.
Parowan High School Auditorium hosts the AH Boys Play and Vaudeville this Friday evening. Mina Cruikehank led the efforts with the girls and boys, promising real entertainment at a nominal charge.
Miss Ethel Whitney oldest daughter of Mr and Mrs S J Whitney observed her 15th birthday on Thursday last with a party. Thirteen of her young lady friends attended and the event featured a large birthday cake and sherbet as refreshments.
Miss Marie Malmberg celebrated her birthday with a teembera class party hosted by Miss Jean Thoroton. The evening featured music games and refreshments at the home of her friend, a very pleasant gathering.
Parowan Mercantile Company reports substantial growth in 1927 over the prior year per manager Arthur Joseph to stockholders. The exact total isn’t learned, but the year shows an increase of 8600 dollars. Sheriff J. T. Leith visited Parowan on Tuesday.
Mrs. James S. Green visited Stockton with daughter Mrs. Paul M. Petersen for three to four weeks. Meyers Mont Benson and Frank Stevens returned home for the last weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Taylor, recently in Idaho and Northern Utah, came back last week. Beth Mortensen rushed to hospital with appendicitis and underwent surgery night. Belle Empey operated for appendicitis and complications and is slowly recovering. A Logan notice says a baby boy arrived January 18 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Adame.
Attorney and Mrs H C Parcells traveled to St George on Monday for special work and expect to return tomorrow.
Mr Paul M Adams spent part of last week doing temple work in St George and left the first of this week with Charles Fox to complete the work they started before the holidays at the Day Adams tunnel.
Mr and Mrs Taylor Miller entertained Audrey's teacher Miss Claudia Jacobsen at dinner Sunday afternoon. The Misses Barbara and Jean Matheson served for the hostess.
Mrs P A Clark’s nephew Cun ard Leonard of Huntington studying at Beaver this winter spent the weekend with her. Walter K Granger Webster and Wilford Leigh hunted fat cattle in town. Wilford’s reported attendance at Woolgrowers conventions was uncertain due to illness. Hyrum B Robinson C Il Robinson Ray Stones Terry Lund Merlen Hunt were Paragonah visitors yesterday. Dan Parker, recently at Grand Canyon construction, returned home. Mrs John T Mickelson took her daughter to Coral City for treatment from Dr Melienthip under his care.
Miss Clair Lister fractured his ankle at the gymnasium in recent days. Mrs. Eutala Orton helps the County Treasurer with special work. Mrs. Estella Holt and Mrs. Etta Holt of Enterprise visited Parowan for the Bayles Family Genealogical Society meeting and to reconnect with friends and relatives.
Mr Edgar M Clark travels from Salt Lake City to Kanab to fetch his mother who is ill and being treated there by her mother.
