Two Milford youths confess to burglary in the Parowan High School building during a Friday basketball game. Alleged thieves Orville Metloff, 17, and David Pullem, 16, were caught with stolen articles after being detained by City Marshal Harrell Dalton who conducted the investigation.

Wounded in Korea Lieut Mitchell Reported by War Dept
Last week the War Department notified Lieut J Preston Mitchell’s family that he had been wounded in Korea. Mitchell, 22, of Parowan Utah, had served since April with the 4th Field Artillery Battalion after training at Fort Sill and Fort Knox. Exact injuries were not disclosed.

Lifes Robert Chilton, oldest son of Mr and Mrs Homer Chilton, is a Utah Civil Air Patrol pilot in the search for a missing C 46 transport plane. Navy veteran, former radio tv store manager, and resident of the State Capitol with wife and two children. Younger son Boyd left the Army after four years including overseas duty, now a father. He has worked as a meat cutter at a Provo grocery. His wife, Mrs Decker, teaches in Orem schools after earning her degree two years ago.

Death of Everett Glenn prompts family travel home
Mrs. Marvin Graff returned from Tooele after being summoned by the death of her father Everett Glenn, 78, who died of a heart attack at his Tooele home the previous Monday. Funeral services were held there on Friday as Mary and the children traveled north on Saturday.

Graveside services were held Monday afternoon at Parowan City cemetery for an infant son of Kent and Dean Werks Mirsden. The infant died at the time of birth.
