Lamb shipments under way from Parowan week
Four car loads of fat lambs were shipped from Parowan the first of the week with two cars from Srapita Day Farms and one car each from Wallerman and Roulnavr. Lambs sold at Cedar City for 9 rents and today’s shipments follow a similar plan. A Hallerman has 480 head left on feed and considers a shipment to the Eastern market next week. Millard of Midvalley sent a load to Denver last week and may repeat after results are known.

A Senate committee and the entire House of Representatives will visit Dizle College and the B. A. G. on Monday. A program at the D. U. A. auditorium at 10 30 includes school inspection and a public conference with committees in the afternoon, followed by a banquet at 7 30. The Associated Civic Clubs will meet in Cedar the same day. Conservation effort expands soil program reach countywide
The County committee aided by the Agricultural Agent held soil conservation meetings across the county to present the 1937 soil and range programs. Last year 263 farms completed worksheets and Iron County lists 598 farms. organizers aim to at least double cooperators this year as broader participation is encouraged. Miss Barbara Matheson, visiting Milford, and Lester Gower of Cedar City spent time in Parowan with Mrs Hallerman, noting she will remain at home indefinitely.

Lowder Cafe to Open Early March in Marsden Toggers Building
Proprietor Elmo Lowder announced the new Lowder Cafe will open in the Marsden Toggers Building between Fleet and Tenth of March. The cafe will occupy the south portion of the building, renovated for this use, with ice cream and soft drinks, a lunch counter, and seating for four rows along the south wall. Forest Service offers home sites for rent at Navajo Lake
Navajo Lake shore sites on the West end have been surveyed and laid out for lease. Each lot includes a sput road, pipe line, and a water system to support a bath, shower, toilet, and kitchen. The annual lease is 25 dollars, with 15 dollars for use of the land and 10 dollars for water system retirement. Plans must be approved by the Forest office before construction.
