Little Sandra Haycock Dies After Long Illness
Little Sandra Haycock three year old daughter of Mr and Mrs Beason Haycock died Saturday at the county hospital after weeks of illness. Cause was a blood stream infection due to atreptococcus with home care for scarlet fever misdiagnosed. Funeral services were held Monday at 2 pm in East Ward chapel with Bishop W L Adams in charge. Speakers included Mrs Mary M Maraden and Bishop Adams, who read poems. A ladies trio sang, and solos were performed by Miss Mary Orton and Mrs Glenna Ward. Pallbearers were Rent and Merton Mitchell Jinx Haycock and Nathan Benson. Survivors are parents a brother Donald sixteen months old four grandparents and three great grandparents. The Times extends condolences to the family.

The Farowan West Ward 4 launches a community woodwork project to make neck yokes and harness parts from local hardwood. A special Parowan City Council meeting reviewed a plan to sell all surplus city hydro power to Southern Utah Power Co. at 2 mills per kWh up to 500 000 kWh annually and 1 mill per kWh for excess, plus a permanent interconnection. Forest and Game officials with Gum and Rod Club and local observers counted about 600 deer along foothills near Paragonah. Most deer were in good condition except a badly fared area behind Pendleton and Fowler farms where feeding provisions were planned.
