Approximately 200 was netted from a Thursday night talent show to fund an electric organ for Parowan East Ward Chapel. Howard Low led the effort with a high quality program that revealed local talent. First, the Mitchell Swing Trio with Bogg, Mert, and Ramona played a medley. second, Parowan High School Male Quartet rated high with a selection from Rigoletto. third, Caroline Dalton, 5 year old daughter of Mr and Mrs Jack Dalton Jr, charmed with a reading. Death of Litthe Jan Macfarlane in Nevada Funeral Service Held
Litthe Jan Macfarlane died suddenly in Nevada after a brief illness. Born February 8 1945 in East Ely she lived in Parowan with the East Ward Promvary Sunday School group. Funeral services were held Thursday at 2 pm in the West Ward Chapel with Fant Ward Bishopric members officiating.

Seminary Class Attends Beaver Social
On February 11 at 6 16 p m forty four members of the Church History New Testament class of the PMangwun Seminary boarded a private bus for Beaver. There they attended a program featuring numbers from each Seminary and a Bud Abbott and Lou Costello film arranged by the Beaver Seminary. The evening moved to a gymnasium for dancing with a five piece orchestra. Cake and ice cream were served, prayers were offered, and plans for a canyon spring return party were discussed.
