Joseph Rasmussen Dies on Christmas Morning in Cedar City
Joseph Rasmussen aged 58, a longtime Cedar City resident, died Christmas morning after a week of illness starting with influenza. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the West Ward chapel with Bishop Day presiding and was attended by relatives and friends including mourners from Parowan and Cedar City. He was born April 23, 1885, to Christen and Mette Mortensen Rasmussen and lived as a farmer and livestock man with his brother George. He is survived by several siblings and a widow, with services featuring local choir and music.
