The community mourns Charles Adams a pioneer and prominent citizen who died at 84 after years of service. He declined gradually over the past years with no reported suffering. Funeral services are set for Friday and a brief life sketch will appear in the next issue.

New Garage and Service Station Under Construction

A new garage and service station is under construction by Archie Gilger and Scott Mitchell on First North Street just west of their residence across from the Public Safety Building. The Meat Market announced Alaska reindeer meat for holiday sales but poor weather delayed the shipment. It is expected to arrive around the first of the year.

Parowan Underwrites Part of B A C Gym Loan

At a Chamber of Commerce meeting this week Parowan pledged 5000 dollars toward a 25090 dollar loan to finish the B A C Gymnasium. Senator L N Marsden outlined the need and said he would cover a fifth if required, with hopes the next legislature will provide support. County Commissioner H L Adams offered to take a fifth as well. The loan is not needed until February and plans for reorganizing the chamber with a large January banquet were announced.
