Christmas Cantata Opens Holiday Season With Pageant

The East and West Ward M I A groups host a Dec 17 party at the West Ward hall with a Christmas play directed by Jean Hendrickson followed by games and dancing. The Yankee Singers and Victory Chorus reunite for The Music of Christmas pageant set by the MLA Cultural Arts Department, with a 7:30 PM start and admission of good will toward men.

Parowan High seeks yearbook funds as subs rise

Parowan High School asks students to pay yearbook subscriptions with 60 percent sold, deposit two dollars and one more on delivery. Staff urges prompt payment to cover remaining orders. Next regular meeting of the Parowan C of C will be held in the Courthouse at 7 30 P M Monday night December 16. All interested are invited. Those not yet joined are urged to contribute their abilities toward Parowen civic development. Fees are only 1.00 per year.

Family Reunion First in Twenty-Five Years

Mr and Mrs Le Roy Adams thank neighbors for aid during a house fire and saving belongings. A family reunion at Mr and Mrs John T Rasmussen home celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary with all eight children present for the first time in 25 years. They wed November 25 1891 in Parowan. The Rasmussen family, largely based in Parowan with members in Los Angeles Cedar City and Burley Idaho, includes 26 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Photo by Alton Merrill.

Paragonah resident J L Dalton underwent surgery at Iron County Hospital this week with daughter Ruth Dalton anurse from San Francisco arriving to assist. He is recovering satisfactorily. M I A plans a Christmas party next Tuesday night December 17. Elders and wives held a pleasant Thursday gathering. Mrs Joan Davenport visited Salt Lake City last weekend. Mr and Mrs S W Hanks traveled from Salt Lake to attend the 54th wedding anniversary of his sister and brother in law, Mrs and Mrs W Barton. Mrs March Barton and baby joined her husband in Cedar City from Los Angeles last week. Max Edwards returned to Price to work in the coal mines. Mrs Julia Miller of Greenville visited her sister Mrs Amy Prothero here last week.
