Robert Thornley fourteen son of Clark Thornley of Smithfield major champion grower of Utah among members of the National Jina Vegetable Growers Association as the organization gathered in Boston Maas for its twelfth annual convention. Thornley earned ten dollars from A and P Food Stores for his competitive production and efficient marketing of vegetables. Thornley’s seventeen crops were raised on a quarter acre of his family farm. harvest valued at one thousand sixty eight dollars with a cost of twenty nine dollars and five cents. He shows a six year net profit of four hundred thirty two dollars and nineteen cents. He is enrolled at Utah State Agricultural College Logan and active in 4 H and Future Farmers of America clubs.

After about three years in the Navy including Pacific service, they return home and depart the first week of January to Salt Lake Mission Home. Pendelton goes Northwest, Virl to North Central States.
