Parowan High School announced the 15 players for the coming season after a Thursday morning selection by Coach Watters following an Alumni scrimmage won by the Alumni. State Health Reports Communicable Diseases Week Ending Nov 26 1945

Health officials report 333 notifiable disease cases for the week ending November 26 1945 up from 300 the prior week and 245 the year before. Measles with 170 cases leads the list and has risen in recent weeks. Six thousand thirty eight measles cases were averaged annually 1941 to 1945 with five deaths per year. Parents should consult a physician when exposure occurs to determine if immune serum should be used to prevent or modify measles. Continued on Page Four.

Parowan Airport Aims for Stronger Runway and Active Plan

Parowan pursues airport growth with a new manager Ben Hillman stating weekly work visits and plans to finish the office. The city has bought materials for office completion, with the State Aeronautical Department slated to repair the runway. Fifth Judicial District Court Held Here

In Parowan the November term of the Fifth Judicial District Court convened with Judge Hoyt presiding. Three criminal, nine civil, four adoptions and seventeen probate cases were heard, with criminal trials set for 1949. One case involved Vincent Mulliner charged with driving under the influence second offense. defendant pleaded not guilty and bond was continued. Civil case Florence C. Petty v Heber Petty granted an interlocutory divorce and custody of three children to Petty with $100 monthly alimony and $75 attorney’s fees. most civil matters settled or dismissed. four adoptions granted.
