Armand Carr, Chief Clerk of the Fish and Game Department, says applications require a $15.09 fee and must be mailed or delivered to the State Fish and Game Offices in Salt Lake City by September 19. Parowan Canyon to Get Additional 3 Miles of Oil
Sheridan Flack, Utah State Road Commission district engineer, said oiling in Parowan Canyon will wait until spring 1948 after grading and drainage work to ready the road. A meeting with Parowan citizens is scheduled to discuss the canyon’s highway future and routes, with an intensive survey planned beyond the second left hand junction to the head of the main canyon.

Southern Utah Dairy Co has earned a Certificate of Mixing Accuracy for 1947 after analysis by Ralston Purina in St Louis. The award acknowledges precision in grinding and mixing for livestock and poultry feeds. Samples must vary no more than 0.5 percent to qualify. The certificate will be posted on the back page.

The Parowan Post Office relocated this week from the Bank Building now under renovation for the Bank of Iron County reopening on September 2. It has opened in the remodeled City and County Building east of the Court House, occupying the front section that was once a city supply storehouse.
