Floyd Robinson Weds City Miss Ia Smith in Cedar City

Lloyd Robinson and Ia Smith married in a quiet July ceremony at the Smith home Cedar City attended by immediate family. The bride, previously with the A C, and Floyd, son of Arthur Robinson Parowan, served two years in the US Navy and now works in Cedar City. A reception followed at the Smith home with local attendees.

Promise Kept To Buddies 30 Years After War Losses

Ex Corporal W A Ahlstrom of Crouse Wisconsin visited Panguitch on Saturday July 12 to meet with the families of Panguitch boys Earl Riggs and Jim Dodds who lost their lives in World War I. He recounted promises made and pledged to explain the soldiers deaths to their families, expressing deep loyalty and praise for their wartime service. The visit fulfilled a long awaited promise to their friends and kin.

Adams Descendents at Parowan Reunion Draw Large Attendance

About 257 Adams descendants of William Adams Sr and wives Mary Ann Leech Adams and Mary Adams gathered in Parowan for a two day reunion. Events included church talks by Milton Ollerton and Marion Tuley, a genealogical meeting at Vermillion Castle Camp, campfire program, and a Weat Ward Chapel concert featuring several Adams family members.

Parowan Scouts Tour State Capitol and Centennial Parade

Parowan Boy Scouts with Scout Master Frank Patten, twelve scouts and three Cub Scouts, visited the State Capitol last week. They also viewed the Centennial Parade in Salt Lake City on the 23rd, traveling in Mont Lowe's truck. They camped at Murray Park after leaving Parowan Tuesday at 2:00 p.m., carrying their own lunches for the trip. Continued on back page.
