Baler Stevens Injured By Falling Steel Pipe in Oil Fields
Walter Stevens son of Mr and Mrs W G Stevens of Byron Wyoming was killed when a steel pipe fell on his head while parking in oil fields. He wore a steel safety hat but died 36 hours later. He left a widow, parents, three brothers, one sister and three grandparents. Survivors include Mr and Mrs John Abraham of Wyoming and Mrs Sarah Stevens of Parowan.

Dependants Of Zachariah Decker Sr Hold Parowan Reunion
About 175 descendants gathered in Parowan for a two day reunion July 2 and 22 to mark the 130th birthday anniversary of Parowan pioneer Zachariah B. Decker Sr. Decker arrived in 1851 after serving with the German Battalion. Only two children survive Adele Jayes of California and Oscar W. Decker of Parowan, while representatives of most Decker children’s families attended. The gathering included Zechariah B. Decker Jr and his wife, plus many grandchildren, with several identities confirmed as present.
