Iron County Sets May Tax Sale and sidewalk funds
Iron County Commissioners set May 26 as the tax sale date for unpaid 1950 and earlier taxes. They ordered a list of unredeemed properties and public notice. The board approved a $1500 county match for South Side sidewalk cementing, to be funded by materials and labor. They reappointed two public welfare board members, appointed civic club reps, and approved nursing program funds of 2738.88 while denying a land purchase from a gravel reserve.

Immunization clinic second in series set for April 27
The second in a series of whooping cough Diphtheria and Tetanus immunization clinics will be held April 27 at 9 15 a.m. at the Court House. Sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary, a small fee is charged for inoculations. Children may begin the three shots now and first time school entrants this fall are urged to receive Booster doses of DPT.

Group Explains Administration of Polio Vaccine
Southern Utah Medical Society members heard how limited Polio Vaccine supplies would be managed. The National Foundation will provide first two doses for first and second graders, with a third dose from family doctors about seven months after the second. Booster doses will go to those in the 1954 field trials. Parents must return signed forms. The society will vaccinate children ages three to thirteen through April and May due to limited supply.

Teen Agers Escape Injury In Car Wreck Near Modena
A group of Parowan High School students escaped serious injury when a car left a highway turn near Modena, rolled over, and sustained heavy damage. The five boys, three from Paragonah, were examined at Front Royal Hospital and released. The car belonged to Farrel Robb, with the incident linked to an auto mechanics class project.
