Parowan students participated earning ratings such as Highly Superior for Maron Decker piano solo and Marion Decker olin duet, Excellent for Adele Holyout vocal solo, with judges pleased by the performances.

Mrs Jane A Mitchell wife of Wm C Mitchell died at County Hospital from injuries in a recent auto accident. Funeral services were held in Parowan East Ward Chapel with the Bishopric directing. Speakers praised the deceased, and family members expressed thanks. Burial at cemetery. pallbearers included her brothers and sons in law. Born March 29, 1875 Parowan, she married Charles Adams in 1893 and had 14 children, 11 living.

Relief Society Pageant At Cedar Sun Presented
The Lake Relief Society Pageant The Relief Lavity the Mother of the Church directed by Mrs. Elaine Southwick will be presented to Parowan Stake on Sunday April 20 at 8 00 PM in the Cedar City First Ward Chapel. Over 150 people from every Ward in the Stake including a combined chorus of about 100 singing mothers will participate in this production depicting the history of the Stake Relief Society from its founding to the present date.

Larg. Balliven Adams, son of Mrs Luella I Asturis of this city, a U S Army reservist at Lowry Field Denver, has received an overseas assignment to Hawaii for the next two years. He has served 12 years in the army, including World War I. For the past two years his duties have involved recruiting and related work. he will continue in a similar capacity in Hawaii. Dixie June Edwards and Howard Tophiarr wed Thursday night April 1 at the home of the bride’s parents. Parowan Stake President D L Sargeant officiated. Bride, daughter of David B. Edwards, is Parowan High School alumna with a noted singing voice. Groom, son of Asa Topham, is Parowan High School alumnus and U S Army veteran. They plan to live in Parowan and host a reception Saturday night April 19 in the School House with train carried by Patsy Topham and Erlene LaFever. Clark Barton served as Best Man and Itha Robinson as Brides Maid.
