Prominent Cedar City Farmer Dies After Electrical Hazard
Bengt Nelson a well known Cedar City farmer and former Iron County Board member died instantly when a hoist he was using contacted overhead wires. Born June 24, 1891 in Cedar City, he was survived by his widow, his mother Sarah Hunter Nelson, six sisters and three grandchildren. Funeral services were held in Cedar City.

Cedar City Veteran Dies in Auto Crash
Cedar City veteran Mae Unwis Bittery died in an auto crash north of Codwe. Two other occupants, Pinglas Melling and Ken Llores, were injured. The deceased served in the Navy after enlisting at Black Fox Military Base, remained in service on the Pacific front, and received a citation for meritorious service. He is survived by his widow, parents, four brothers, and sisters Forest and Reber. The accident occurred January 2, 1027.

Art Treasure From Royal Palace Seen In Parowan
Mr and Mrs Edward McMullin and their son Floyd of Los Angeles visited Sunday at the Joan Desker home in Parowan. Floyd, a former Marine lieutenant who saw action in the Pacific and in China, brought a priceless silk roll embroidered with Chinese figures. The piece, once hung in the Royal Summer Palace in Beijing, took 20 years to complete and was bought by the elder McMullin through friends in China after the Imperial government fell and furnishings were removed.
