Lions to Begin Calendar Drive in Paris

The Paris Lions Club launches its annual Birthday Calendar drive starting Friday September 29. Members will contact west valley residents to sign calendars with anniversary and birth dates. Warren Sirrine Dies at 79 in Cokeville Funeral Friday

J Warren Sirrine 79 died Tuesday at Bear Lake Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He lived in Cokeville Wyoming and was born August 2 1888 in Dingle. He served seven terms Bearlake County Assessor from 1948 to 1962 and was active in the LDS Church. Interment at Dingle Cemetery.

Horse Killed in Ovid After Pickup Collision

Sheriff reports a pickup struck a loose horse about 1000 feet east of Ovid Post Office at 1 20 am Friday. Parker of Paris, employed by Union Pacific Railway, said he passed another vehicle and the horse jumped in front of him. The owner of the animal is not identified.
