Life History of Christian Tueller

The life of Christian Tueller begins in Berne Switzerland where Mormon missionaries spark a family conversion in 1875. His father Jacob and uncle John K abandon dairying for cotton factory work, then learn the mason trade as poverty hits. After Margaret and the rest of the family embrace the gospel, they send fourteen year old Christian alone toward Zion with Swiss Saints bound for Utah. He travels steerage across the ocean, camps in Salt Lake City, and is placed along the line to Richfield where he will stay with William H Seegmiller.
