A C Austin Dies in Pocatello After Long Illness
A C Austin seventy died Tuesday morning in Pocatello after a years long illness. He was born August 14, 1876 in Liberty Idaho and lived there until moving to Pocatello nine months ago. Survived by wife son Wayne one grandson Dean and five brothers and two sisters funeral at 2:00 Friday in Pocatello.

Parker Receives Bronze Star for Okinawa Heroism
Pfc. Alvin R. Parker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph F. Parker of Lan yk, earned the Bronze Star Medal for heroic actions on Okinawa May 23, 1945. He and seven others organized a patrol to evacuate wounded under heavy fire, carrying casualties down a muddy slope despite continued danger. By command of Major General Bradley, Parker’s loyalty and courage reflect credit on himself and the military service.

Sunday School Class Baptizes 345 at Logan Temple
