Five Bear Lake youngsters qualified for the Idaho Little Buckaroo Finals in Twin Falls on Sept 28 after two days of competition at the Little Buckaroo Rodeo sponsored by the Bear Lake Rangers. Competitors include Steven Caldwell Paris Mike Erickson Fish Haven Richard Caldwell Paris Robert Cole Montpelier and Gregory Caldwell calf events. Delmoine Hansen said scores from August determined selections with winners advancing to the Little Buckaroo National Finals in Ogden Utah in early October.

Wind causes trailer accident near Georgetown on US 30N
At about 1 00 p m Sunday the Sheriff s Dept investigated an accident north of Georgetown on US 30N. Ernest A Chapman 9 and his wife Gladys 66 of Filer were eastbound when a high wind whipped their house trailer causing it to jackknife and inflict about 3000 dollars of damage to the car and trailer. Most damage was interior and glass breakage.

Grouse and partridge seasons open in Idaho this Saturday
Idaho Fish and Game announces upland bird seasons opening September 21 in eastern Idaho. Forest grouse and partridge runs run to November 17 with bag limits of three per day and six in aggregate, while quail season spans September 21 to December 31 with a 10 per day limit and 20 in aggregate. Sage and sharptailed grouse shooting dates are September 21 to 29 with two in aggregate. A two day general wild turkey hunt is set for September 28 and 29 in the lower Salmon River area, with turkey tags available from the state office in Boise and regional offices.

Trap Shoot Opened Season At Hummingbird Lodge
The season's first trap shoot at Hummingbird Lodge near Paris drew about 40 spectators despite winds and snow showers. Turkeys were won by Rayo Larsen Montpelier Hudell Parker and Roger Humpherys Paris Denny Forsberg Montpelier and Boyd Golightly Preston.
