The Monsanto Chemical Co. offered a rent high bid of 75000 for lease of 697.08 acres of phosphate land located 12 miles southeast of Soda Springs in southern Idaho. Funeral services for Mrs. Lucy Arlida Webb Smith 48 of Washington Terrace Utah and former Laketown resident were held Saturday at Lindquist and Sons Mortuary. Burial followed at Washington Heights Memorial Park. She died in an Ogden hospital after surgery. Born May 14 1921 in Laketown to A Leslie and Elsie Elvira Earley Webb she married William M Smith April 17 1942 in Brigham City. He preceded her in death May 2 1959. Survived by two daughters Shirley Ray Watkins and Marlene Smith both of Washington Terrace her father of Washington Terrace five brothers Albert E Webb Delford L Webb Earl L Webb Noel Webb T Eldon Webb of Paris and a sister Verona Demming Smith of Washington Terrace.

S&H Stamp Drive To Buy Bus For Nampa State School

Barney Wozniak, governor's representative for the Keep Idaho Green campaign, will appear with a high flying balloon during the Bear Lake Centennial under Bear Lake Junior Chamber of Commerce auspices.
