County Superintendent Amos B Hulme compiles figures on staff enrollment and attendance. About 27 high school teachers and 51 elementary teachers served. total high school enrollment reached 6533 with Fielding, Montpelier, and Georgetown as principal schools. Eight districts face staffing gaps but expect full staffing by Sept 12 with Paria schools opening Sept 6 and some short term schools starting Sept 19.

Supt. Barnett announces Fielding High School will start the new year with a 9 a.m. assembly in the auditorium for Student Body officers to direct. After the program, all students must pay fees before class enrollment. Fees total 9.50 including 3.50 Student Body, 1.00 locker, and 5.00 textbook. locker 25 cents refundable. Students planning to attend are urged to register on Tuesday September 6.

Girl Struck by Car Recovers from Bruises Near Paris
Jane Humpherys six year old daughter of Mr and Mrs Clem Humpherys escaped serious injury after being struck by a car on a highway north of Paris last Thursday. The driver Mr Thomas Smith of Salt Lake City swerved to avoid the child and the fender and headlight were damaged. Jane was examined at a capital hospital, found with bruises and an elbow injury, and released from Bear Lake hospital Tuesday.
