Local Utah Students Win Top Honors in USAC Judging Contest

Eight Utah State Agricultural College students earned top prizes at the Pacific International Exposition in Portland. The Intercollegiate Livestock Judging team won first with Doyle Matthews and Golden Linford leading individuals. Matthews was high point overall. In Dairy Products judging, Dee Morgan, Max Hogan, and Robert Howe won first as a team and earned top individual honors, with Morgan first in butter and cheese and second in milk. Coach is Prof. Paul B. Larsen. Prof. G B Caine heads the department.

Motor-Vu Theatre Closes For Season In Montpelier

The Motor-Vu Theatre at Montpelier closed last Saturday for the summer. Manager Donald Welker oversaw a splendid two months run since its July erection and plans to reopen next spring.

Noted organist to give concert here October 28

Mrs. Aldon Tall of Rigby Idaho will headline a concert at Bear Lake Stake Tab ernacle October 28 at 8 p m to raise funds for the new chapel. She has a storied career including New York and Washington engagements and a radio program in Idaho Falls. Ralph Garrett of Pocatello will sing during intermission. Tickets are sold by Paris 1st Ward committee and Lews Drug stores.

Local and Personal Notes Highlight Weekend Visits

Mrs. Lloyd Hansen and children visited Georgetown on Saturday. Several families and individuals from Montpelier, Logan, Wood Cross, Cokeville, Paris, Garden City and Salt Lake City were noted for weekend visits, travels, and social calls.
