Bennington Man Dies in Montpelier Milling Co Accident
Roger J. Ochsenbein 29 of Bennington is killed about 11 40 Tuesday at Montpelier Milling Co. Investigators say he climbed a grain stack and may have been pulled into a whirling overhead shaft by a set screw catching his coveralls. Stanley Hansen of Garden City saw him after he disappeared and firefighters removed the body. Funeral planned Friday at 1 00 p m at the Montpelier LDS Chapel. He is survived by wife and three sons of Bennington, his parents, and siblings.

Bloomington Man Wounded in Viet Nam
Pfc. Charles W. Piggott of Bloomington serving with B Company 1st Battalion 18th Infantry was wounded in action in Vietnam during a base clearing operation. He was struck in the head by machine gun fire, lost his left eye, and was evacuated to hospitals in Long Binh, Japan, then the United States. He is 24 and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Piggott.

Cow Collision Kills One Cattle at Busy Junction
Last Thursday evening near the 8th Street intersection with U S 30 N Glen Hymas lost a cow as five to six head crossed the highway. Dale Munk traveling east on 30N could not avoid the cattle and struck killing one. Munk’s car owned by Lewis Munk of Montpelier sustained about 175 dollars in damage. The Sheriff's Dept investigated the mishap.
