Girl Scouts of Troop 585 Paris entertained their mothers with a party at Mrs. Ted Knowles's home. Skits included an accordion solo by Lois Eborn and a piano number by Debbie Knowles. Twenty eight badges were earned by members aged 9 to 12. The troop organized in March and meets Fridays at the Knowles home. Assistant leader is Mrs. Tom Preston.

Bicycle-Built-For-2 Stolen in Paris
Tan tandem bicycle stolen in Paris. Two 14 year old LaBarge youths allegedly took it from Garth Carlsen at his Station, rode to Lanark Camp Lifton and Montpelier, then were seen loading it on Train 18 in Paris. They sold the bike in Kemmerer and bought Portland tickets with the proceeds. bicycle not yet recovered.

Sergeant Jerry L. McCalmon of Montpelier, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leon A. McCalmon Jr., receives the U S Air Force Outstanding Unit Award as part of the 8th Air Division stationed at U Tapao Airfield Thailand. The 3rd Division was cited for meritorious service against the enemy in Southeast Asia from March 139 to March 1888.
