Idaho State Income Tax Goes Into Effect This Year
Bear Lake county residents will soon learn of Idaho's new state income tax as official reminders go out. The Department of Finance is preparing the collecting machinery and distributing copies of the law to individuals and corporations likely subject to the tax. Finance Commissioner Ben Diefendorf said the plan is simple and understandable and net income computations will date from July with final payment due like the federal tax.

Twin Falls Idaho November 23 The Keefer bank known locally as Twin Falls National bank did not open Monday by board resolution. The other two banks in the city the First National Bank and Trust company and the Second bank issued a joint notice stating they would be ready to loan to depositors in the Twin Falls National bank upon receiver certificates. They had ample cash reserves and reported no unusual demand as business across south central Idaho remained largely unaffected by the closure.
